Arcangel Chester Concert reviews
A rare disappointing experience
I chose seats in the 31st row of Floor A1, one of 2 sections adjacent to the main stage, based on the seating chart. Unfortunately, however, Arcangel spent about 98% of the concert at the end of the catwalk and was almost never at or near the stage. Like most performers these days, Arcangel's stage configuration also features a long catwalk that runs all the way to the back of the stadium. Let me start by mentioning that I enjoy immensely the vast majority of concerts I attend, so I am not particularly critical or looking for things to complain about. My general ticket purchasing strategy is to buy seats as close to center stage as possible without going for the truly insanely priced ones that might be just a few rows ahead of me. In addition, the jumbotrons were angled only to the sides such that we couldn't even watch him on the screen. Thus, for over $300 per ticket, we could see almost nothing for the entire show. I think it's thoughtful and kind that performers try to make sure as many fans as possible get some chance to see them close up even if they can't afford or just choose not to buy super premium tickets. I'm not sure if this was some kind of intentional "Robinhood" statement by Arcangel to penalize the fans that paid for the most expensive tickets, but my wife and I felt extremely ripped off.
